At a food and wine festival in South Australia, Guy de Rivoire, Bolliger's commercial director let slip that the Champagne brand is set to continue its long partnership with James Bond.
Speaking to Adelaide Now, the French winemaker explained: "we are releasing a new James Bond-related Cuvee later this year. There’s a new Bond movie coming up and we want to celebrate 40 years of partnership between James Bond and Bollinger"
On the maticulous art of making Bond's sparking wine of choice, de Rivoire, commented: "I don’t want to sound like an arrogant Frenchman, but Bollinger is the guardian of authenticity and craftsmanship. Some of the key things our staff do (such as hand riddling and hand disgorging) is a token of the quality and depth of the wine. A bottle of Bollinger is handled more than 40 times by our staff before being released. It really is a cumbersome exercise but the complexity of a bottle of Bollinger is amazing."
