Gemma Arterton confesses she would pass on Bond Girl role today

10-Apr-2017 • Bond News

English actress Gemma Arterton, who shot to fame with her appearance as Agent Fields in the 2008 James Bond film 'Quantum of Solace,' now says she would pass on a Bond Girl role if it were offered to her today.

In an interview with ES Magazine, Arterton did not exactly heap praise on the film that put her in the spotlight.

She said: "I don't want to slag off that film, because I really enjoyed it - I was 21, and it was a trip. But would I do it now? No."

"For the first seven or eight years of my career, I was doing stuff because I thought I should, or I thought I was lucky to get that part.  And I am grateful - it set me up… But it sits really badly with me when I make something I'm not proud of, or doesn't say what I want to say."
