Mendes to make Bond decision once stage play opens this week

14-Jun-2013 • Spectre (2015)

Sam Mendes is back in the spotlight and rumour has it he is considering the Producer's offer to helm another 007 adventure.

Mendes confirmed that offer was genuine in an interview with TheStage.co.uk about his "Charlie And The Chocolate Factory", opening at the Theatre Royal this week.

In the interview the director confirmed that he had been in talks, but added, "nothing is going to be determined until Charlie and the Chocolate Factory [now previewing at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane] has opened."

"I’m literally here from 8.30am to midnight every day, and it occupies every inch of my attention. So we’ll make decisions about that once Charlie has opened."

Public performances commence this Saturday, 15th June.
