An evening with Honor Blackman, this Sunday at the Leicester Square Theatre

HONOR BLACKMAN has had a career on stage, in television and in films that has extended over sixty years. She has decided to mark this astonishing achievement by launching a new show in which she simply appears – as herself.

In conversation with director Richard Digby Day, she tells stories of her childhood, of growing up during the Second World War, of her rise to stardom, her leather-clad triumph in television’s The Avengers, and her casting as Pussy Galore in the James Bond movie Goldfinger – a role which brought her world-wide fame and recognition.

She will also share with audiences, for the first time, anecdotes concerning family, friends and colleagues; and tell of the necessity to rebuff producers eager to make her a star - at a price - and difficulties filming nude scenes both hilarious and otherwise and of course there will be some songs.
