Former Bond author Raymond Benson ends `Splinter Cell` run

06-Feb-2006 • Literary

In an announcement today on former James Bond author Raymond Benson's official website, he stated he would no longer be writing novels based on the hit video game franchise 'Splinter Cell'.

Benson wrote two novels, Splinter Cell (2004) and Operation: Barracuda (2005), both which made there way onto the New York Times Bestsellers list.

Benson was originally contracted to pen two novels, both written under the pseudonym David Michaels. However, another writer will be assuming Benson's position for the third novel.

Thanks to `Moore` for the alert.
