DAD breaks $150m in USA and $50m record at UK box-office

03-Jan-2003 • Die Another Day

"Die Another Day" has broken two big milestones in Bond box-office history this week.

In the USA, the film has broken through the $150m barrier, scorching past the previous record held by "The World Is Not Enough" of $129.6m.

In the UK, DAD has surpassed the $50m mark, which beats TWINE`s record of $45m at the UK box-office.

Combined US and International box-office takings are now in excess of $310m. Taking inflation into account, the total takings record for a Bond film is $780.1 by Thunderball - when Bond fever was at an all time high. Some European countries and Japan are still waiting for DAD to open.

Thanks to Umpire, Stavro, MBE and Jared for the numbers.
