Full details on the free screenings of Die Another Day in South Korea tomorrow

16-Jan-2003 • Die Another Day

Fox Korea and Seoul Cine City Theatre will show Die Another Day for free on January 17th 2003.

Fox Korea said they came up with this extraordinary free event in an attempt to clear misunderstanding towards the film. Fox Korea said "Controversies about DAD were going on even before DAD opened in Korea. So, we want to give Koreans (who haven`t watched DAD yet because of the controversies) a chance to watch DAD themselves first and judge whether DAD is badly controversial movie or not.".

Positive reactions from Korean audiences who have already watched DAD helped sway Fox Korea to hold the free event. Fox Korea said "We asked questions to people who watched DAD at the theater entrance what they thought about the film. And, most of the answers were positive." Thy said `It wasn`t that bad as I expected`, `I don`t think DAD disrespected Korea too much`, `DAD was different than rumor`, `After watching DAD, all of my misunderstandings were cleared`."

Anti-DAD protesters are saying "Don`t waste your money on DAD". Fox Korea is saying "Watch DAD for free and judge yourself later".
