Daniel Craig`s tuxedo from Casino Royale up for charity auction

13-Jun-2008 • Collecting

A tuxedo Daniel Craig wore in 007 film Casino Royale is among the lots at a star-studded movie memorabilia auction, to be held in London later this month - reports the BBC.

Broadcaster Jonathan Ross will host the Great British Movie Event on 17 June - a fund-raising dinner in aid of the National Film and Television School.

Other lots include an uncorrected proof of the first Harry Potter novel, signed by author JK Rowling.

A collection of figurines from Aardman Animation will go under the hammer too.

British film company Working Title, the event's main sponsor, will also auction two walk-on parts in its new romantic comedy Lost for Words.

Hugh Grant, who is reportedly in talks to star in the film, will be among the celebrity guests.

Other attendees include Stephen Fry, Rowan Atkinson, Aardman's Nick Park and writer and director Richard Curtis.

"The cream of our TV and film industry is turning out to support the school, which is exciting," said NFTS director Nik Powell.

Based in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire, the National Film and Television School offers a number of courses in cinematography, editing and other skills.

Founded in 1971, the school's alumni include Nick Park, Harry Potter director David Yates and cinematographer Roger Deakins.
