Fourth James Bond Blu-Ray boxset line-up rumoured

19-Jan-2009 • Collecting

After MGM confirmed the line-up for the third James Bond Blu-Ray boxset last week ("Goldfinger", "Moonraker", "The World Is Not Enough"), speculation has been rife about the contents of the next collection.

According to online rumours, the fourth Blu-Ray boxset will include:
- The Man With The Golden Gun
- Licence To Kill
- Quantum of Solace

The new schedule comes after the initial line-up for boxsets 3 & 4 was changed to accommodate the release of the latest 007 adventure.

In some European countries, the Blu-Ray titles are only available in boxsets, unlike North America and the UK where discs are also sold individually.

"The Man With The Golden Gun" and "Licence To Kill" are two of the weakest titles according to Special Edition and Ultimate Edition DVD sales figures. Pairing these two titles with the box-office smash "Quantum of Solace" will no doubt help sales figures of future boxsets that rely on the strength of the back catalogue.

The third James Bond Blu-Ray box set is now available to pre-order in the USA.

No official news has been released regarding future 007 Blu-Ray titles beyond 'Volume 3'.
