'GoldenEye 007: Reloaded' enters UK chart Top 20

10-Nov-2011 • Gaming

"GoldenEye 007: Reloaded", the latest videogame under the James Bond license from Activision for Playstation 3 and Xbox 360, has plopped in at #16 on the 'all games, all platform' chart in the UK on its debut week.

The current top 4 reads: "Battlefield 3", "Uncharted 3", "FIFA 2012" and "Batman: Arkham City", all of which are unlikely to be shaken nor stirred by the 007 title. Another AAA title, "Modern Warfare 3", has just been released.

On the platform specific charts, "Reloaded" ranks at #8 for PS3, and #10 on Xbox 360.

Last year, when "GoldenEye 007" (Wii) and "007: Blood Stone" (PS3, Xbox 360) were released around the same time as "Call of Duty", Activision themselves acknowledged on an investor call that the timing did not help Bond sales. Fast forward exactly one year, and the same release window is even worse, as "Reloaded" is wedged between "Battlefield 3" and "Modern Warfare 3".
