Doubts over future `Young Bond` books in USA with publisher Miramax split rumours

15-Sep-2004 • Young Bond

Miramax Books' co-founder Harvey Weinstein may be about to split with corporate parent, The Walt Disney Co., possibly taking the profitable publishing unit with him, according to a recent article in the New York Post.

Miramax is the four-year-old publishing division of the Disney-owned film production powerhouse Miramax. Disney already owns another publisher, Hyperion - reports Authorlink.

Miramax was set to publish a series of 'Young James Bond' novels in spring 2005 together with Ian Fleming Publications. According to The Post, Miramax executives will not comment on the division's future.

The first of five books by Charlie Higson, Silverfin, is scheduled for release on April 27th 2005 in the USA.

Thanks to `Ken` for the alert.
