Pierce Brosnan is reacting to Helen Mirren’s criticism of the James Bond franchise. Last week, his MobLand co-star got candid during an interview with The London Standard, revealing she “never liked James Bond” because the concept is “drenched and born out of profound sexism.” Brosnan was recently asked by People for his thoughts on Mirren’s remarks, to which he responded, “She let them have it.” “Yes, there’s a certain agreement there,” he added of the Oscar winner’s criticism. “But there’s a certain world and room to move within the proscenium arch of what [Bond creator and author] Ian Fleming put down. So there’s always going to be conflict.”
