James Bond theme arrangement used in recent trailers features in new Parodi album

26-Oct-2006 • Collecting

Pianist Starr Parodi releases a stunning new album next month, ‘Common Places’, which features her re-interpretation of the famous James Bond theme, reports MusicFromTheMovies.

The piece was featured in the trailers for Goldeneye, Tomorrow Never Dies, The World Is Not Enough and Die Another Day and was also released on the ‘Best of Bond’ album.

Parodi’s music has been used in numerous movie trailers and the musician is perhaps most well known as being the pianist on the ‘Arsenio Hall Show’ in the US.

Cited as a ‘rare talent’, Parodi claims to get her inspiration from her piano, a 1928 Steinway Grand. Not particularly inspiring you might think, except this very piano used to stand on the MGM scoring stage and was used in scores like The Wizard of Oz, so certainly an instrument with a lot of history!

’Common Places’ is released on November 14th.
