Casino Royale snubbed for 79th Academy Awards nominations

23-Jan-2007 • Casino Royale

Despite making the first round of nomination selections in the "Best Original Song" and "Visual Effects" categories, Casino Royale has been snubbed for the 79th Academy Awards.

Casino Royale has won international awards and rave reviews, but failed to land any nominations for this year's Oscar ceremony.

Although 007 will be absent from the award categories, Daniel Craig will be at the ceremony to present a gong.

The 79th Academy Awards takes place on 25th February 2007.

Thanks to `Charles Vine` for the alert.
