Prototype Aston Martin DB5 model by Corgi sells for £1050

A prototype Aston Martin DB5 model by Corgi has sold for for £1,050. The unique resin cast 1:36 scale model from the line created by Corgi to tie-in with the 2006 film 'Casino Royale' scooped over $2000 USD at auction yesterday.

Bonhams - the international fine art auctioneers - were appointed by Corgi - one of the best-known die-cast model makers in the world - to sell its archive of coveted prototype and "Number One" vehicles. The unique auction took place on 3rd October 2007 at Bonhams' Knowle salerooms in Solihull, West Midlands.
