Microsoft state Nintendo blocked re-release of `Goldeneye 64` on Xbox

25-Mar-2008 • Gaming

The on-again, off-again rumours surrounding the Xbox Live Arcade adaptation of the classic James Bond videogame "Goldeneye 64", have taken a decisive turn this week.

Microsoft, keen to wash their hands with the unrest amongst the fan community on the lack of release, gave a statement to fansite MundoRare about the axing of the game.

"We share the rights with Nintendo on the title and they are the ones who have prevented it from happening" said Rare’s George Kelion.

Fans should direct their attention/anger towards Nintendo (in a constructive manner) about having the game released.
