Pussy Galore's helicopter from 'Goldfinger' up for auction this month

21-Oct-2010 • Collecting

Whilst the majority of the media coverage on RM Auction's upcoming Automobiles event in London on October 27th is focussed on the iconic 1964 Aston Martin DB5 driven by Sean Connery as James Bond in Goldfinger, other vehicles owned by famed Bond foils are joining the lineup, making the auction a truly historic occasion for 007 enthusiasts.

Also on offer from Goldfinger is the 1960 Hiller UH -12 E4 helicopter which was piloted by Honor Blackman as the famous Bond girl Pussy Galore. Estimated at between £200,000 and £400,000, this historic aircraft has been completely restored to the highest standards and is in full flying condition - reports JamesList.

The Hiller was built in California in 1960 by the Hiller Aircraft Company, bearing the registration number G-ASAZ, and in 1963 it featured in its first screen role; a film called The VIPs, which starred Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton.
