James Bond contender Alex O'Loughlin reveals his famous father

Australian actor Alex O'Loughlin has revealed he's the son of late AC/DC frontman Bon Scott. The rocker is believed to have fathered a number of love children during the height of his fame in the mid 1970s, and O'Loughlin, who is set for his big break on TV drama The Shield has come forward as one of them, reports Starpulse.

The actor isn't new to public attention - in 2005, he was tested for the role of James Bond before the part was given to British actor Daniel Craig.

Scott died in February 1980 in London, England after choking on his own vomit while sleeping in a friend's car.
